Mustang as a submarine?
Let this be a lesson to everyone. If you have a manual transmission and a remote start, think about disabling it before you take your pride and joy to the dealership for that needed maintenance trip. If you dont then your ride might look more like an aquarium than a car.

If mid-month sales numbers from Edmunds.com are any indicator, the car market may be finally picking up. The Santa Monica, Calif.-based consumer research site says that through Mar. 18 , car sales were on pace for a 13.5 million annualized adjusted sales rate. Thats a nice clip considering that most analysts think car sales will be in the 11 million or 11.5 million range. But dont get too excited yet.

Mazda still dominates competition
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 24, 2010) – Teams fielding Camaro, Corvette, Porsche and BMW race cars are looking to snap Mazda’s two-race winning streak in the Porsche 250 on April 10 at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Ala., Round 3 of the 2010 GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16.

Engineer behind the Ford Mustang passes
Donald Frey, one of the men who brought the Ford Mustang to fruition and be FoMoCo’s third oldest nameplate in existence, passed away on March 5 in Evanston, Illinois. He was 87.
